SUPER Stiffy Regulator Coupler Upgrade - 10" Stainless Steel Braided Super Coupler Extension

The SUPER Stiffy is our solution for the Power Tank power user who really puts their equipment through its paces. It is a 10 in. flexible stainless steel braided line extension which sits between your regulator and one of our Super Couplers that you plug your Power Tank hose in to. If you have used your Power Tank for an extended period, you may have noticed a small bit of leaking through the standard regulator coupler. This is from the cold temperatures of CO2 hardening the rubber seal within the coupler, causing it to leak when you pull the hose to one side.

With the SUPER Stiffy installed, instead of being fixed, the coupler can now follow the hose and keep in line, preventing the side-pull leak. Not only that, the super coupler is universal in that it will accept nearly any air tool plug on the market. It accepts the industrial, ARO, automotive, and Lincoln exchanges. No more worrying about whether or not the tool you borrow from your buddy will work or not.

The second feature of the Super Coupler is the internal bleed or what we refer to as the on/off collar. Regardless of how much pressure is in your hose, you will always plug your tool in to the coupler at zero psi. It's only until you switch the coupler "on" that pressure is allowed to flow. When it's time to clean-up, you release the downstream pressure by switching the coupler "off" and unplug your tool, again at zero psi. This means your tool will not shoot out of the hose, nor will the hose whip around after disconnecting. This is a great safety feature and we've installed these on all the air lines around our shop because of it.

The Power Tank Super Coupler has an all-aluminum construction to cut weight and can handle up to 400 psi working pressure, unlike competitors which are made of heavy brass and are rated for 150-175 psi only. Power Tank's is also rebuildable.

The SUPER Stiffy can be installed in any Power Tank Super Flow regulator. Simply remove the standard coupler and install this one in its place. The coupler comes installed with teflon tape so you don't have to worry about thread sealant. Due to incompatible threads, you can not reuse your existing NPT Male threaded coupler on the end of the Stiffy hose which requires a FPT Female threaded coupler.
